"Spyder" D aka Duane Hughes:
Became a "rookie" minor league basketball franchise owner in 2005 with the Charlotte Krunk ABA team.
"We did everything as close to NBA style as possible, including custom designed uniforms, multiple tv and radio ad spots on the same stations as the NBA Bobcats, a ten thousand seat arena, cheerleaders, etc. I was very proud of our effort as an organization in Charlotte. This will be an even tougher challenge in this new economic climate, but the original ABA faced similar challenges. I believe this league can be a kin to the old ABA again. I would not be here if I didn't believe."
